I just wanted to say here what an incredible thing your 'Workshop Workbook' is. Look at all the writers Wolf-Pirate has helped already! It's been exciting to be part of this process. You've shown me how to find the depths of a character and in the story itself. Basically, you've taught me how to write. I'll never forget that. . . .
Dianne
I just want to thank you for all you’ve done. I’ve learned more these past months than I have working alone for in the last ten years of writing. The time and effort you put into my manuscript is highly appreciated...If it wasn’t for you, I’d still be where I was a year ago: hopeless and irked to the fact that I had no idea what exactly was wrong with my work or how to improve on it. You brought back the positive side of me. I can never thank you enough for what you’ve done. Thanks a bunch!

As the Project's aspiring Workshop writers complete their work, it is only right to showcase them here. They deserve a page of honorable mention on this web site to promote their efforts, accomplishments, and endeavors in the literary community.
Like all Workshop participants, these writers have gone through a grueling, time-consuming, and rewarding opportunity to work with an editor in the review and development of their work. Each went through a process that defies patience and sometimes composure. These writers had the mettle to suffer through critiques, rewrites, and even the restructuring of their story. Their work ethic is commendable. Not everyone who joined the Workshop was able to complete it, yet these writers are truly dedicated to producing the best they can.
To the friends the Project has made, it has been a pleasure working with them and the Project wishes them the best of luck in pursuing their writing career. Some have already gone on to become published, and the Project is thrilled for them To others, keep up the good work. It's difficult, but they have the potential to shine.

THE BODIE LEGACY
by William Kercher
William Kercher grew up in Dayton, Ohio. After four years as a medic in the Air Force, he went to college to get his Masters of Science in geology from Wright State University, in Dayton. His degree led him to Houston and the oil industry. While doing oil exploration, he began writing fiction as a hobby. Although he likes mysteries, his heart is in science fiction. The science fiction he likes to read and write tends to be hard-science-based fiction.
In addition to The Bodie Legacy, he wrote Wildcat, an action/mystery novel that takes place in the Houston oil industry. While he uses the locations he knew in Houston, he admits that the murder and intrigue in Wildcat was not from his life. In fact, his oil exploration, while successful, was rather dull in comparison. He has also written Winter Trial, a science fiction/action thriller, as well as a collection of short stories.
In the area of non-fiction, he wrote Coping: How I am Living with Type 2 Diabetes. This details how his life changed after his diagnosis of diabetes. In his book, he shares the information he's learned about diabetes and how that information is making his life better. To contact the author, email him at wkerch@comcast.net.
The Bodie Legacy
A genetic misfire, an aberrant gene split at conception. Whatever kind of biological accident occurred, Mordecal Adams's genetic blueprint produces a monster, a killer with the psychic ability to feel and enjoy people's suffering. This capacity leads to his addiction to the narcotic of human pain.
From the small town of Bodie, an abandoned relic of the 1900's oil boom, located near Houston, Adams preys on society's weakest. He uses his power to torture innocent victims for no reason other than to satisfy his need for human suffering.
Even after death, Mordecal continues his assault on humanity. In dreams and nightmares, he reaches out from beyond the grave. For his fix of souls to bring to his region of Hell, Mordecal seeks out Monica Evans in Oklahoma and Nick Thomas in Oregon.
Thrown together by shared nightmares, Monica and Nick learn that to save themselves from Mordecal, they need to combine their strength. They must destroy him before he can destroy them. Their quest for knowledge takes them to the Indian Nations in Southeastern Oklahoma. A Cherokee Medicine Man teaches them about Native American spiritualism and how to enter the world of the dead.
