OF A WHOLE NEW BREED OF TROUBLE.
Imagine, after going through a long, arduous trial to convict a killer of multiple homicides, learning that the only way to save the world from a slew of natural catastrophes is to reverse the decision to execute the killer. Faced with the impossible, the detective responsible for convicting the killer now shoulders the burden that comes with unwillingly dealing with the devil.

Daniel Archer writes a fast-paced narrative with no holds barred. This suspenseful thriller has a supernatural bent to it to make this a fantastical story to attract readers of several genres. Building on the conclusion of Archer’s previous novel, Theater of the Dragon, which was a grounded political-legal thriller, Archer expands on the mythos of angels abandoned by their god and banished to this world. Archer puts a new spin on the theory behind creation and man’s place in the universe, giving reason for an eye-opening explanation that goes against the mainstream belief of human beings sitting on the top of the food chain. Reason and logic create a balanced juxtaposition to the typical arrogance of humanity believing that God views us as valued offspring.
This is complex fiction that goes against the grain of formulaic storytelling. Its appeal reaches across many genres, hooking readers from a variety of tastes. The multiple experiences of natural catastrophes are a vivid and frightening look of tragedy from the inside out, as experienced from a man who is unwittingly thrust into the middle of them. Irony of Conviction promises to suck readers in from the onset and not let them go until the very end, where the question remains: was the victory of convicting a killer the best outcome that could happen after the trial?
This story is more than just a sequel to Theater of the Dragon. Au contraire, it is a great jump-on point for a series that runs six stories long, with a parallel series six stories strong as well, culminating in a convergence of the two. The majority of this mind-boggling epic has already been written to the same tune as can be found in Brian Lumley’s complex mythology of the Necroscope series. Make no mistake, the Theater of the Dragon/Irony of Conviction endeavor is not a flight of fantasy, but a well-researched shake-up of politics, faith, and diversity.
