About the Author:  Mary Glynne has written several short stories and award-winning procedural manuals. Smoke and Miracles is her first fiction novel, with the sequel recently finished, presented here, Victimless Crime. She is working on her next book, another Agent Kleison novel.

From her own mouth:

When writing Smoke and Miracles, I never intended the story to go anywhere other than where it went. But anyone who reads this book will see there's so much more to the case than meets the eye. Agent Kleison was just too good an investigator to go quietly into the night. So, you'll see him again, and maybe some others you'll recognize.

There are a few things readers can ponder over or find light humor with in regards to my favorite character of late.

Is Agent Kleison psychic?

He insists he's not, but his ability to deduce logic is uncanny. You'll notice his  explanations for how he's come about his conclusions do sound reasonable when he points it out, which he always does. The fun is making up your own mind about that question. Maybe he'll tell us the truth eventually. I'm not even sure myself. I do know he likes playing mind games, though.

What's Agent Kleison's problem with women?

Without intending to, he seems to attract trouble in every conceivable way in regards to women You'll notice my signature trademark in these stories by the second book If you don't, I'll be sure to clue you in a little later on.

I won't say anymore about the second book featuring Agent Kleison other than the case he faces is a lot more involved than what readers would expect. You'll be happy to know that more of his personal life is revealed but more of his mystery increases.
