The Wolf Pirate Project is dedicated to the purpose of attracting more of the general public into the reading populace. We hope to encourage people, both children and adults alike, to experience the excitement and beauty of creative writing. In pursuit of that endeavor, we have created a Reader’s Appreciation Class. This class is intended for parents and teachers, and anyone else in a position to bring the joy of reading to others.
Introduction; a brief overview of the class for people interested in helping another individual discover the joys of reading for pleasure.
Chapter One: Individuality and Instruction; an introduction about the individuality of the student and how it affects his ability to learn.
Chapter Two: Intelligence and Aptitude; an explanation of how these two aspects of a student can affect his ability to learn.
Chapter Three: Drive and Personal Preferences; an explanation of how these two other aspects can affect a student's ability to learn.
Chapter Four: Disabilities; a discussion on some disabilities an instructor may encounter and how to work around them.
Chapter Five: Behavioral Issues and Learning; a discussion on how to deal with a child with behavioral issues that affect the learning environment.
Chapter Six: The Right Reading Material; choosing the right material for your new reader to start with.
Chapter Seven: Appreciating Reading; tips on how to get a new reader to beging enjoying reading for leisure.
Chapter Eight: Alternate Reading Materials; suggestions on other types of literature to start a reluctant reader out on.
